The highlight being Thorong La the highest pass in the world!! The liaison with Jagadamba Holidays in Nepal made for a seamless adventure. Sunny our travel advisor at High Places was great . Nothing was too much trouble and he was great at doing the IT jobs that I found difficult. This is the second time I have travelled with this company and will definitely use them again in the future . 😎Posted on Morris EstradaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to thank Ramesh and his staff for organizing a brilliant trek to Ladakh and Zanskar. His staff looked after us for the whole month of our visit. The hotel in Delhi the Regent Grand was clean and well placed for the metro. The Staff of the Regent Grand were friendly and very helpful. The drives that were provided for our use in Delhi were great and provided an interesting insight into the places we visited as well as general info about Delhi. The Glacier View Hotel in Leh was also very good. In fact all the homestay we used were also great providing an interesting view on local life. The trekking crew worked tirelessly to ensure our trip was a success.as did the support staff based in Leh. I can recommend Welcome Travel and High Places Travel, they ensured we had an amazing trip Thankyou Phil and Michell DraytonPosted on kotomskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is by far the most professional, knowledgable and capable travel agency specialising in India that I have ever come across. They have helped us with impossible tasks: bringing pianos to remote Himalayan villages, staging concerts at the courtyards of Ladakhi monasteries, finding the right contacts and organising logistic throughout Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi and Kerala, and always taking care of all our needs in a most professional and generous manner. I cannot recommend Mr Ramesh Kumar Wattal and his team enough. More than once we have been in dire need while trekking across the Himalayas or needing logistical help in remote parts of India, and they were always there to help us. Brilliant travel agency, and one that has never disappointed me in all my years of travelling to India!Posted on Leonard SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a pleasure dealing with both Welcome Travels in New Delhi and High Places Travel in Sheffield when arranging our recent holiday to Karnataka and Goa. Their service was first class and nothing was too much trouble for them to arrange. The complete 25 day adventure progressed like clockwork not a single hitch thanks to the planning and care provided by Ramesh and his staff . A special mention must be made of our chauffeur, for the trip Mr. Chiranjeevi who readily offered help and advice well beyond our expectations. Thankyou to all involved in our latest adventure.Posted on Graham GroverTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My second experience with this company organising sightseeing in India. My expectations of the arrangements and the experiences offered were exceeded. Absolutely first class.Posted on Martin KennedyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An Introduction to Nepal trekking, sightseeing and a safari day. My wife and I spent two weeks in Nepal with High Places. At the start and end of the holiday we had two days’ sightseeing around Kathmandu (Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan Temple) with a guide and driver, as well as plenty more time to explore by ourselves, whilst staying at a wonderful old, but well equipped, guest house with a great garden and restaurant right in the centre of the city. We took a flight to Pokhara and found ourselves heading up a hill side by the afternoon, with a guide and porter, at the start of six days of comfortable trekking. We walked into the hills, up and down, but slowly gaining height. We were never rushed, there were always places to stop for a break, including tea houses when required, either in a village, or in the forest; and always a great place to stop for lunch with a view. By mid-afternoon we were usually at our destination, tea house, lodge or hotel. These were quite varied as you would expect, some very old and simple, some more modern. All had comfortable beds, good menu and wifi. Where something was not as we wanted the guide was able to resolve the problem, for example there was no hot water in our bathroom at one lodge, but the proprietor offered a hot shower at the end of the block. As the trek progressed we got increasingly good views of mountains including, Machapuchare, Annapurna South and Nilgiri culminating, on the last but one day, with an early morning walk up Poon Hill joining the throng to see the sunrise over a vast array of mountains. Next were two nights and a free day in Pokhara. There was plenty to do; lots of relaxing cafes and restaurants; we took a boat trip on the lake. The hotel was fantastic, a good choice of breakfast and a swimming pool. Then on to Chitwan National Park for 2 nights. The highlights were visiting an elephant breeding centre, a lovely, quite, boat ride down a river (whilst keeping our hands safely inside the boat so as not to encourage the crocodiles), and a 4hr vehicle safari in the forest. We saw more crocodiles, birds, lizards and best of all, rhinos. The guide for the safari was very experienced, taking things slowly and allowing the animals to shows themselves. This wasn’t the first Rhino sighting of the day, however, as we had already seen one one taking a nap in a football field, much to the amusement of a bus load of school kids. All in all a perfect introduction to Nepal.Posted on ange andrassyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. High Places has arranged several holidays for us including tailor made itineraries to Kashmir, Ladakh, Kolkata West Bengal and the Sunderbans. Our latest trip included ODI world cup cricket matches in Delhi and Dharamsala as well as trips to Amritsar and Corbett national park. Sunny at High Places has always been very accommodating and patient with our requests and we have always been satisfied with arrangements. We have found the mix of putting in our own requests for specific accommodation and tour aspects along with his suggestions has worked really well. On our latest trip the airline lost our luggage which was very challenging. Sunny and the High Places team plus the Indian agents swung into action and went above and beyond to find and retrieve the bags. We unhesitatingly recommend High Places.

We offer both flight-inclusive and land-only options to suit your needs. Please note that flight prices are typically an additional cost on top of our standard tour packages. If you would like us to handle your travel, our UK team can arrange flights from major hubs like London Heathrow or Manchester and add them to your package. We believe in the magic of small group treks. Our group tours start with a minimum of just 2 people, and typically go up to a maximum of 12. Keeping our numbers low ensures a more personalized experience with our expert guides, minimizes our environmental footprint, and creates a fantastic sense of camaraderie among fellow adventurers.
