High Places are extremely excited to introduce the new and improved itinerary for this adventurous photographic expedition to Ladakh. During the Ladakh Photography Tour we explore the very best that this remote Buddhist country can offer the adventure travel photographer.
Ladakh, or “Little Tibet” is one of the most remote areas of India. Remaining isolated for centuries to the outside world, Ladakh has a rich cultural and religious heritage that is little changed. It offers photographers stark but stunning scenery, phenomenal mountain ranges and remote valleys. Additionally, we meet local people from all walks of life, the hospitality of the local people whose homes we visit is unsurpassed. Observing the annual harvest rituals gives a rare insight into their way of life and culture. In this Tour we will also photograph the exciting Korzok Gustor techu (festival). This a truly special photographic journey that has been carefully planned to soak up the very best of this enchanting and memorable land.
This not for the faint-hearted, it is a full on adventure with several nights out in very remote areas. This includes four nights in deluxe tented accommodation. First by the stunning Pangong Lake and second Tsomoriri Lake home of the Changpo nomads.
Participants will be accompanied at all times by a local and very knowledgeable Ladakhi Guide as well as Professional Photographer Martin Sammtleben and Photographer/Mountain Guide Geraldine Westrupp. Come home with a deep insight into the Ladakhi way of life and travel images second to none. Be prepared to be totally blown away by this photography tour in Ladakh!
