Wadi Rum and Petra
Exploring the breathtaking rock temples of Petra followed by a desert walking, easy scrambling and camel riding in the magnificent towering sandstone mountains of Wadi Rum. Time too for bargain hunting in the souks and relaxing on the beaches of Aqaba.
After visiting the Dead Sea and the Crusader castle at Karak we journey south to Petra. From our comfortable hotel base we spend two full days hiking around the spectacular sites of the 'Rose Red City' allowing us time to enjoy the superb scenery of the less visited surrounding areas.
On to Wadi Rum, desert walking and scrambling on the sandstone 'Jebels' with our Bedouin guides. Nights out under the stars, watching the sunrise over the desert will be a memorable experience. Our desert adventure ends by choosing a friendly camel and riding like Lawrence of Arabia into the village of Rum.
Our journey ends in Aqaba, snorkelling in the gulf, exploring the souks, or both!
