Scrambles in Wadi Rum
Since 2007 our long running trip to Wadi Rum has been upgraded to include more scrambling. Limiting the group to 8 maximum we follow several 'sure-footed' traditional Bedouin routes across and around these most amazing sandstone mountains. Our finale is an intricate and absorbing traverse of Jebel Rum itself with a summit bivouac and some thrilling abseils.
On the scrambling days we will be accompanied by a qualified European climbing leader who will be supported by local Bedouin guides. Traditional desert living and eating and making camp under the stars with our Bedouin hosts will be a highlight.
Snorkelling in the Gulf of Aqaba and a camel riding day provide a good balance to this exciting trip.
Optional Petra Extension - see details within the trip itinerary.
