Trekking in Bolivia
At over 4000m the high Andean Altiplano (high plain) ensures landlocked Bolivia retains its Indian itentity and also an air of mystery.
Jagged peaks and volcanoes rise up piercing the clear cobalt-blue skies. Bolivia has almost 1000 peaks over 5000m, from the spiky Apolobamba range in the north to the great isolated volcanoes of the Puna de Atacama in the south, many of them still unclimbed.
There are few places that can offer such wonderful trekking and climbing opportunities.
